Curriculum Vitae

Bruno Tomio Goto born in Recife, Pernambuco state, Brazil in June 28 of 1981 in rain season of brazilian northeast. His father was a bank employee working with computacional systems and his mother a housewife. He has two daughters Julia and Luiza. He is married with Amanda R. G. Goto an law student since February 15 of 2018. Started undergraduate in Universidade Federal de Pernambuco in 1999 and finish undergraduate in Biological Science in 2003, starting master degree in fungal biology program in the same year. Applied progression application in 2005 to PhD program, finishing PhD in february 9 of 2009. Started study with taxonomy of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi in 2000 in mycorrhizal lab supervised by Dr. Leonor Costa Maia during all your formative process since undergraduate to PhD. Your collaborative friends Gladstone A. Silva, Fritz Oehl (both co-supervise in pHd), Francisco A. de Souza, Leonor C. Maia, Janusz Blaszkowski and Eduardo Furrazola was very strong influence in all your academic journey. Joined as adjunct professor at the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) in January 26 of 2010. He was co-responsible to create a new graduate programe (master and PhD in Systematic and Evolution) in UFRN in 2010 yet. He was involved in coordination of the program since 2010 until January of 2019, being main coordinator since 2014. Head of Department of Botany and Zoology between 2018-2023. Head of Undergraduate program Biology (Bachelor) between 2023-2025. The main focus of the research is taxonomy and systematic of Glomeromycota, but interested in Endogonales (Mucoromycotina).
